Our Story

It all started back in 2008, when our founder Joe Hargro trained his American Pit Bull Terrier, Rocsie. She learned to heel and side on and off leash, stay from a distance, and even retrieve ducks from a lake — a level of focus and trust that inspired a lifelong passion.

Years later, Joe’s family welcomed Flash, a 7-pound Maltese with big reactivity issues. Through patience, structure, and consistent leadership, Flash was transformed into a social, obedient, and joyful doggy companion — proof that no dog is “too small” or “too stubborn” to change. That transformation sparked the creation of Public Manner Dog Training Academy, a place where professional training meets personal care.
